Abstract
17 years old unmarried young girl who applied to the outpatient department of Ç.Ü. Medical Faculty with a complaint of vaginal discharge and a mass protruding through the intraoitus was hospitalized for polype extirpation. Histopathologic examination of the tumor confirmed the diagnosis of cervical polype.Theree months later she applied to the same department with the similar complaints and the polype was removed again. But this time the histopathologic diagnose was Sarcoma Botryoides and she had hysterectomy total -I- BSO. She did totally refused Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy. She did come for control check ups regularly and so far up to October 1988. No recurrence was recorded. This case warned us that any young girl beyond her childhood applying with the typical cervical polype symptoms the differential diagnosis for the Sarcoma Botyroides had to be taken into account.
