In the Department of Oncology of Istanbul University,intracavitary irradiation of cervix uteri cancers is performed with inkracavitary treatment units consisting of "Currietron Co-60" of Co-60 source and high-dose rate and with remote afterloading and "Curietron Cs-137" of Cs-137 source, with low-dose rate. In the present study, information is supplied on irradiation method and dose distribution obtained, by therapeutical planning computer, and in 20 patients treated according to this method, dose distribution is reported together with received by adjacent organs in risk. A comparison of these findings is made with data in the literature and results are evaluated.
