Serum Trace Elements in Patients with Head and Neck Cancer Sixty patients with head and neck cancer were evaluated for serum zinc, copper, iron levels and copper/zinc ratio. Patients with various localizations and histopathology of head and neck cancer had been found to have normal serum zinc, elevated copper and low iron levels. The copper and zinc ratio was high. The results were compared with literature.
