CASE REPORT: EXTRAMEDULLARY PLASMACYTOMA OF THE NASOPHARYNX

Abstract
A case of extramedullary plasmacytoma in the nasopharynx is reported in a 41 years old man. The presenting symptoms were vertigo and hearing loss. Multiple myeloma was excluded. Clinical findings and response to radiotherapy are discussed. 4000 cGy external radiotherapy and 500 cGy HDR Co-60 intracavitary brachytherapy was delivered to the nasopharynx. The patient has been disease free for 3 years.
