PAPILLARY MULLERIAN ADENOSARCOMA OF THE UTERUS

Mullerian Adenosarcoma is a phasic uterine tumor composed of benign epithelial and malign stromal components. It is a variant of mixed mullerian tumor, differing by having a benign epithelium. In a fifty-six years old patient with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding a polypoid lesion filling the endometrial cavity was found. Microscopically, the epithelial component resembled the glandular epithelium of the endometrium and the stromal component looked like endometrial stromal sarcoma. The diagnosis was adenosarcoma.
