Abstract
Forty-one germ celled testicular tumor cases treated between 1977-1995 were investigated retrospectively in regard to failure, treatment morbidity and survival. It was found out that radiotherapy was applied to 38 cases, and that 12 cases received chemotherapy. While 3 cases of recurrence at paraaortic region (7.7%), and 3 cases of distant metastasis (7.7%) were noticed, late morbidity related to radiotherapy and chemotherapy was found to be 21% and 16.6% respectively. For all the stages adjusted overall and disease-free 10 years' survival rates in seminoma was 77.6% and 75% respectively, it was 100% for the stage I, and two years' survival rates for stage II were 57% and 37.5% respectively. Two years adjusted overall survival rate for 6 cases of non-seminomatous testicular tumor was found to be 33.2%. Results were compared with literature.
