CURRENT TREATMENT OF LARYNGEAL CANCER AND CONTROVERSIES

During the recent decade, various opinions have been expressed by different treating teams in different countres clinic's and, as encountered in our country, even in the same clinic, about choosing surgery or irradiation therapy in larynx cancer in which the types of treatment has been always the same. We have compared the results of experience which we acquired in our surgical interventions on laryngeal cancer and data of survival with these in the World literature. Furthermore we tired to analyse the different opinions on the subject and to point out the differences in the results and preference. Finally, we reached the conclusion that it would be imperative to use always both surgery and irradiation and study the mysteries of cancer.
