Abstract
The aim of this study is to review the histopathological features and to examine the immunohistochemical expression of tumor supressor gene; p53 protein and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in gastric mucinous adenocarsinomas. Among 24 cases, 46% have high proliferative activity by PCNA labeling index. When PCNA labeling index and p53 expression have been correlated with clinicopathologic characteristics, no significant association has been found statistically, except a significant association between age and PCNA activity.
