A CASE OF PRIMARY UNKNOWN SIGNET-RING CELL CARCINOMA PRESENTED WITH SUBCLAVIAN-JUGULAR-AXILLARY VENOUS THROMBOSIS

Venous thromboembolism may occur as a result of cancer and cause morbidity and mortality. Deep vein thrombosis is seen in 15% of cancer cases. According to various studies cancer is detected in 4.6-34% of deep vein thrombosis cases. While deep vein thrombosis is frequently seen in upper extremity, less commonly seen in lower extremity and axillary-subclavian veins. In this article, a case of signet-ring cell carcinoma with bilateral jugular-subclavian-axillary venous thrombosis was discussed according to the literature.
