ADAMANTINOMA OF TIBIA

Abstract
Two tibia adamentinoma cases have been analyzed hispopathologicall and clinically. One of the cases was 11 year old girl. Lesion included tibia and fibula manifesting litic and multilocular areas. Analysis of the resected case revealed a squamous type of tibia adamantinoma. The other case was 25 year old male patient whose tibia had obvious destruction due to the presence of tumour. In addition, the tumour being at the size of orange had infiltrated to neighbouring soft tissues and skin. Under light microscope basaloid epithelial isles and, tubuler structures coating the groove have been observed. Under the ultrastructural observation, as in the first case, epithelial based supports basal lamina, desmosomes between cells and microfilaments in the cell sitoplasms have been detected.
