Abstract
In this article, estrogen (ER), progesterone(PR), and androgen(AR) receptors were measured in 76 endometrial, 24 ovarian and 10 cervical cancer patients. In Grade and Grade endometrial carcinomas 65% were ER(+), and 55% were PR(+); in Grade carcinomas 50% were ER(+), and 22% were PR(+). Staging was done in 11 ovarian cancer patients. 6 patients were stage-III and all of them were PR(-), and 2 were ER(+); 5 patients were stage-IV, 3 were ER(+), and 3 were PR(+). In cervical carcinoma cases 6 were ER(+), and 4 were PR(+). Androgen receptors were present in 1 case of endometrial cancer and in 2 cases of ovarian cancers; it was not present in 10 cases of cervical cancer.
