Atypic hand and foot syndrome due to capecitabine therapy: a case report

Hand-foot syndrome, also known as palmar-plantar dysesthesia,
is a drug reaction characterized by dysesthesia, erythema,
and edema desquamation in the palms of the hands and soles
of the feet. Cytarabine, docetaxel, ARA-C, capecitabine and
5-FU are the drugs related with hand-foot syndrome. In our
case, erythema and edema desquamation developed on the
dorsal area of the hand and wrist after capecitabine treatment.
The lesion is reported because its location is rare and it has
not been reported before.
