Abstract
OBJECTIVES

In our study, we were performed tests to understand the characteristics
of the ArcCHECK QA system and were evaluated
the suitability of this QA system for VMAT verification.

METHODS

Short term reproducibility, dose linearity, dose rate and field
size dependence tests were performed to evaluate the characteristics
of the ArcCHECK QA system.

RESULTS

For the short term reproducibility, the standard deviations
were found 0.043% for 6X, 0.06% for 10X and 0.057% for
6FFF. For the dose linearity, when its output was greater than
20 MU, the dose response variations were within ±0.3% for
6X, ±0.2% for 10X and ±0.16% for 6FFF. For the dose rate
dependence, the dose responses exhibited 0.6% for 6X, 1.1%
for 10X and 0.4% for 6FFF with increasing the dose rate.

CONCLUSION

The short term reproducibility, the dose linearity, the dose rate
and field size dependence of ArcCHECK are very good and it
is suitable for pretreatment quality assurance of VMAT plans.
