Abstract
Ovarian neoplasms take the third place in female mortality due to cancer. We established that 8 ovarian cancer had a previous hysterectomy in a series of 166 cases. In the other series of 2127 hysterectomies, these 8 cases took a place of 0.37 °7o. The interval between hysterectomy and discovery of the ovarian cancer was 6.6 years at an average of 48.2 years old. Bilateral ooforectomy for avoiding ovarian cancer has multipl side effects, if done early.
