Abstract
The investigative studies, searching the relation between HLA and diseases are currently continuing. Naturally, HLA-cancer relation is being searched widely. In different cancer types this has been studied and there had been different approaches. In this study, we examined the relation between HLA and breast carcinoma on 40 breast carcinoma patients and 40 healthy control group. We found increased frequencies especially for HLA-B7 and also for HLA-B17 and HLA-BW50 and decreased frequencies for HLA-A2, HLA-B8, HLA-CW4, HLA-DR1. The most striking is for HLA-B7 antigen. (X2 = 5, P 0,05) Those having the HLA-B7 antigen have a relative risk of 8.2727.
