Abstract
The level of lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) in sera of 19 patients with multiple myeloma and 19 healty persons have been investigated. High LDH levels were found in patients with multiple myeloma who had no treatment and patients with multiple myeloma who were unresponsive to the treatment. The level and isoenzyme pattern of LDH have been found as a prognostic factor in patients with multiple myeloma.
