Abstract
In Interstitial brachytherapy implantations reference isodose should cover the target volume completely. According to Paris System proportion of overdosage volume and irradiated volume to the reference volume should be minimal in an ideal implantation. In order to assess the relationships of the reference volume with other brachytherapy volumes, 36 different implantations were quantitatively analysed. The results showed that decrease in the intersource spacing and the increase in the source numbers was effective in the diminishing of the overdosage volume, and irradiated volume was approximately 3 times of the reference volume.
