Abstract
For the quality assurance (QA) of treatment planning systems (TPS) and planning computerized tomography (CT)'s, a simple cylindrical phantom has been developed. The phantom was constructed by using materials and geometries which are appropriate for the routine clinic setup. Measurements were taken using a Siemens Somatom HiQ CTs, a 2D DSS Multidata treatment planning system, the lineer accelerators MD2 (Siemens). The Multidata planning system delivered good results to compare actual doses measured in phantom. The maximum deviation was approximately 3%. This phantom is build up very easily and quickly and it delivers good and reproducible results.
