Abstract
Extraskeletal mesenchymal chondrosarcoma is a rare cartilaginous
malignant tumor that shows very fast progression clinically
and has very high local recurrence and distant metastasis
rates. The most common locations are the bladder, brain, meninges,
mediastinum, and thigh. In this case report, we present
the clinical features and treatment of a thigh-localized slowgrowing,
painful tumor diagnosed as extraskeletal mesenchymal
chondrosarcoma in a 22-year-old male, and we discuss the
general characteristics of the tumor.
